My work is devoted to the design of new approximations of functions and fast spectral methods for solving applied problems in wave turbulence, dynamics of viscoelastic polymeric liquid and semiconductor physics. All of them include initial boundary value problems for elliptic and parabolic types nonlinear differential equations with smooth solutions having boundary layers and other singularities. The designed approaches allow to account for properties of solutions, to minimize computational costs and to control the errors.
